The working name for this shampoo was 'Fabulous' because that was the first word its luxurious feel brought to mind. We decided to call it by what it's made of (since fabulous was already a trademark). After a brief flirtation with Jojo Shampoo and an accompanying Oba Conditioner, we chose Alojoba to reflect the key moisturizing ingredients: Aloe Vera and Jojoba Seed Oil. Add Cucumber, Chamomile, and vitamins and you get Alojobacucumile, or a fabulously nutritious smoothie for hair.

It's no mirage. True to their desert roots, the Aloe Vera and Jojoba plants possess ingenious ways to retain moisture. The gel stored in the Aloe leaf and the oil pressed from Jojoba seeds are excellent for hair and skin, which is why they were the inspiration for (and serve as key ingredients of) this luxurious, lightweight formula. We added Cucumber, Chamomile and Wheat Protein to complete a soothing, softening and scrumptious smoothie for the hair.
